The Man Who Lost His Faith

My Book

Dear Readers,

I am glad that you are taking time out to read this out. Please note that writing this book was not at all easy for me, as I had to relive all happy/sad moments once again, just to ensure that the authentic flavour remains intact by the time it reaches you. Trust me, I’ve written this in multiple phases.

This book is entirely an inspiration from the divorce process that my friend Yash has been through. During that journey, I have seen a lot of situations that made me think of the misery everyone has to go through during the divorce process.

Before, my readers go through the experiences and learnings, please be aware that at any point in this book, I do not encourage taking divorce and neither I encourage people to stay in toxic relationship. It’s all about making an informed decision after giving it your best shot. If you think you’ve really given it your best shot, you won’t need a validation from anyone else.

Life is an exile

This book is entirely an inspiration from the divorce process that I’ve been through. During that journey, I have seen a lot of situations that made me think of the misery everyone has to go through during the divorce process.

Before, my readers go through the experiences and learnings, please be aware that I consider myself as a feminist because feminism means advocating for equal rights irrespective of gender.

Divorce process is not easy for anyone. It consumes a person emotionally, physically, and financially. During the whole process, you will realise that you’re just a puppet  of legal system; who’ll advise you all do’s /don’ts to keep you in a safe and sound legal situation.

We all know that the Indian judiciary system is very much supportive to females when it comes to laws related to marital issues. People often say that one phone call from a female spouse can land everyone from the extended families into long-term trouble. I have seen this process from both sides as my cousin sister has also been through the divorce process. Therefore, whatever you’re going to read is based out of real experiences of my near ones.

These laws were made ages ago when women were living in a suppressed environment. However, with the changing time and evolving mentality the situation has changed a lot. Infact now, women are doing much better than men in almost every domain and I am very proud of that. But unfortunately, with increasing awareness, the number of divorce cases with false claims/complaints are at all time high (officially all involved parties like police, judges, lawyers, etc. know and admit that). I won’t be surprised to see that in the years to come, the number of people who want to get married will decline drastically.

This book is written in 3 phases that explains the difference in life in each phase: Before Divorce, During Divorce and After Divorce. You will find a lot of emotional moments during this journey to which I have tried to present in it’s exact trueness.

Therefore, please grab a cup of coffee and give it a try. I will wait for your feedback about this book, if you want to share anything, please reach out to me on my insta handle. Sending lots of love across 🙂

What Readers Say

I have never seen anything like this from any author. Such a bold topic being discussed with such ease. I am glad someone has shared the experience from a gender-neutral narrative. What it feels like to be judged in the courtroom as a man, hats off to the author for this amazing book.

As a feminist, I applaud The Man Who Lost His Faith for its genuine portrayal of divorce. Based on a friend's journey, the book beautifully captures the shared challenges of both genders. It's a short yet impactful narrative, shedding light on the human spirit's strength in vulnerability.

I could relate to some of the parts in this book because I've also been through divorce in early 20's and since then, I decided to stay away from getting married again. Although, this book gives a perspective in the end.
